I'm absolutely thrilled to finally have this scene animated and able to be shown off! I've been working on this scene off and on for nearly a year now and you'll be able to learn more about why this took me so long here in the behind the scenes page!
The background here was entirely hand painted with six different paintings making up the layers of dunes in this scene.
Ardent was drawn traditionally and coloured digitally.
The shine of light is actually several hand painted shapes that were composited digitally together to give this light some “texture”.
Originally, I was going to try and post this as a gif image but it turned out way too muddy so this gets to be the very first video I've uploaded to the site!

UPDATE AS OF MAY 22ND, 2024! I figured out my gif image compresion issues and now this art gets to be seen as the looping gif image I intended it to be!
